2017, 2018, 2019 Going By

As cliche as it sounds, it's actually been a long time, three years to be exact, that we haven't updated this blog.

Too many things have happened in between, but inshaAllah one of the things I plan to do this year is to restart writing and reactivate this blog.

So what are we at iLuvQuran working on now?

2017 

Umi Irah on the final closing date of submission, decided to apply for the Teraju Superb Series 2 grant competition. The main motivation was to be able to gain more capital so we could improve and share our creative Quran learning modules with more children.

Alhamdulillah, iLuvQuran was one of the ten winners amongst 800+ applicants nationwide.

2018

We launched our Quranic Seedlings year 1 module as our iLuvQuran Hifdz Activity Module (ILHAM) covering eleven surahs from Surah Al-Fatihah to Surah Al-Fiil and alhamdulillah we had twelve institutions subscribe to license and use the modules in their schools.

iLuvQuran joined Malaysia Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC)'s Amplify Accelerate programme in our process to be certified as a social enterprise. Alhamdulillah we passed the first round of assessment and pitching.

2019

The modules are officially sent and used in the subscriber schools, after an intense training session in December.

Our team made a benchmarking and sales & marketing trip to Finland and UK. Alhamdulillah we came back with tonnes of knowledge to improve our modules and implementation in Malaysia, as well as the best collaboration: Islamia Primary School UK, the school founded by brother Yusuf Islam, was very excited to become our pilot school to implement our ILHAM system in UK!!! Alhamdulillah, Allahu akbar!

We're still working on improving our modules and approach to benefit our children and to ease the burden of Quran teachers. Tomorrow we'll be testing REQA, another Superb Teraju series 2 winner who makes educational blocks as learning toys as one of the tools for our next ILHAM module for the next ten surahs.
